Dr Roz Alexander

Roz grew up in rural South Australia and graduated from UWA with honours in 2007. She went on to work in Fremantle Hospital, PMH & KEMH where she completed a post graduate diploma in Women’s Health at KEMH & a Child Health Diploma from Westmead, Sydney. Roz is interested in women’s and children’s health, and is qualified for shared antenatal care, but enjoys all areas of general practice and has done further training in palliative care. Outside of work, Roz is a keen netballer, enjoys running & reading in her spare time.

Rose grew up in Perth and graduated from Notre Dame in 2010. She has worked at Fremantle Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital prior to starting GP. She has just returned from maternity leave and enjoys all aspects of general practice with a special interest in children and women’s health.

Dr Natalia Bovell

Natalia grew up in Perth and graduated from Medicine at UWA in 2010. She worked at Fremantle Hospital and has experience in a wide range of areas. Natalia enjoys providing the full range of Family Medicine care; she considers it a real privilege to be entrusted with the healthcare of the patients who choose to see her. She is proficient in Implanon insertion and removal. When not at work she spends time with her young family, visiting the numerous playgrounds of Perth and cheering on the sidelines of weekend children’s sport.

Dr Paris Bovell

Paris grew up in Perth and did his medical training at UWA, graduating with honours. He did his hospital training in Fremantle Hospital and then worked at Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service. In 2011 he won the WAGPET GP registrar of the year award. His interests include family medicine, men’s health and paediatrics. He has an understanding of Aboriginal health. He is able to help parents concerned about their child’s development and is aware of referral pathways and evidence based early intervention services including allied health. He has a young family and enjoys sports, gardening and summer at the beach.

Dr Rebecca Bramah

Rebecca trained in the UK, graduating from Southampton University in 1999 and has been living and working in Perth since 2001. She enjoys all aspects of medicine and is qualified to insert IUDs (copper and progesterone) and Implanons. Rebecca worked in Perth hospitals for many years as a medical registrar, gaining a wide range of experience. She always loves to see children and has 2 young daughters that keep her busy when not at work. In any spare time she loves windsurfing, sailing and camping.

Dr Liz Budd

Liz grew up in Cambridge, England and graduated with an honours degree in Medicine in 1995. After moving to Perth she worked in public hospital in a wide variety of areas. Prior to General Practice Liz worked for several years practicing psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand. Liz enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Outside of work she enjoys a busy outdoor lifestyle with her family camping, swimming, and running.

Dr Lin Chan

Dr Lin Chan

Lin graduated from UWA with an MBBS (Hons) and has worked at many of Perth’s major public hospitals. She has a diploma in women’s health and in paediatrics.  Lin won the WAGPET GP Registrar of the Year award in 2012. She is an accredited Youth Friendly Doctor for adolescent health. Lin’s  interests include sexual health and family planning including Implanon contraception. She offers shared antenatal care. She is an External Clinical Teacher for GP trainees and a medical educator for WAGPET. Her likes and interests: kung fu movies, bowls of noodles, cryptic crosswords, craft beers, Body Attack classes.

Dr Lorna Joyce

Dr Lorna Joyce

Lorna graduated with honours from UWA in 2002. She completed further hospital training in Perth, and trained for 4 years in the UK, attaining her FRACGP in 2009. Her professional interests include all aspects of women’s health, family planning, contraception and sexual health, as well as general family medicine. Services include Implanon, Mirena and Copper IUD placement and removal. Apart from medicine, she enjoys spending time with her young family and playing cello with the WA Doctor’s Orchestra.

Dr Michael Joyce

Originally from the UK, Michael trained at St. Bartholomew’s Medical College in London. Thereafter, he worked in a variety of medical specialties both in the UK and Perth for several years. This was followed by formal General Practice training in the UK which he completed in 2008 with Distinction. He has been working as a GP in Perth since. Michael is interested in all areas of general practice. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his young family, surfing, fishing, boating and cycling.

Rene grew up in Malaysia and moved to Australia age 13. He attended high school locally, and graduated in Medicine from UWA in 2004. He subsequently worked in Fremantle Hospital, PMH and KEMH. He completed General Practice training in 2010 and completed the Diploma of Child Health in 2011. Rene is interested in all areas of general practice and does minor surgical procedures. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, tennis, motorbikes and MotoGP

Dr Libby Lissiman

Libby grew up in Perth and graduated from UWA with Honours. She has worked at RPH, KEMH and PMH and as a GP in Ocean Reef, before joining the team at Fremantle Family Doctors in 2015. During this time she completed her Diploma of Child Health, a KEMH course in Women’s Health, and General Practice Fellowship. Libby is interested in all aspects of general practice, particularly women and children’s health. She is qualified for Implanon removal and insertion. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, bushwalking, reading, cooking, and drinking tea with her family and friends.

Dr Alex Morse

Alex is one of the founding partners of Fremantle Family Doctors. He has worked as GP for over 25 years, and has wide experience in all aspects of General Practice. He has had a role as a teacher and trainer of young doctors and medical students for many years. He has a particular interest in seeing kids of any age, and in men’s health. He is married with 3 grown up sons, and loves bushwalking, reading and drinking wine, preferably all at the same time.

Dr Sacha Saralam

A Perth boy since 1970, Sacha completed his medical degree at UWA in 1990 and his GP fellowship in 1995. He lives locally with his two young sons, who keep him busy when he’s not at the surgery. A proud founding partner of the practice, Sacha enjoys the challenge that the breadth of General Practice can bring. He is particularly interested in Paediatrics, Asthma, Cardiology and Diabetes. His outside interests include paddling, running, cycling, photography, cooking, wine and travel.

Scott was born and raised in Perth and graduated from UWA in 2009. He worked for 5 years in Fremantle and Rockingham hospitals in a variety of medical specialties including geriatrics, stroke rehabilitation, renal and haematology. He enjoys all aspects of general practice with special interests in men’s health, and geriatrics. He is qualified in the insertion and removal of Implanon. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, swimming and watching movies.

Alison graduated from St George’s Medical School in London in 1985. She completed her General Practice training in the UK  gaining her diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and  Fellowship in General Practice during that time. She first came to Australia on a working holiday in 1989 and joined Fremantle Family Doctors in February 2008 following 7 years as a country GP back in England. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice with special interests in Women and Children’s health, implanon insertion and removal, shared Antenatal Care and skin excisions. She has 3 sons and loves reading, Pilates, playing the clarinet, camping, travel and attempting to surf with her family.

Anna trained in the UK and qualified as GP in 1989. She has worked in General Practice in the UK and Australia since that time. She has an interest in all aspects of women’s health, particularly menopausal concerns, but enjoys seeing all manner of medical problems. She is skilled in the insertion of IUDs and Implanon. Her hobbies include kite surfing, gardening, reading, cooking and eating good food. She is married with 3 adult sons.

Chris grew up in Albany, Western Australia. He graduated from medicine at UWA in 2010 and has since also completed his Diploma in Child Health from Westmead Hospital Sydney. He has worked in a number of hospitals in Perth including Fremantle, PMH and KEMH and also worked as a GP rurally.  He enjoys all aspects of General Practice, in particular paediatrics, men’s health, geriatrics and minor surgical procedures. Outside of work he enjoys fishing, camping, playing guitar and boat building.

Jessica Ruescher

Jessica Ruescher (APD, AN) originates from Harvey, South of Perth, and completed her studies at Curtin University with Bachelor of Science (Nutrition) and a Post Graduate Diploma (Dietetics). Jessica has provided dietetic services throughout Western Australia and Victoria during her career, including working in hospitals and community health. Jessica’s specialties include management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Type 2 Diabetes, Coeliac Disease and assisting people with weight concern using the Non-Diet Approach. Away from work, Jessica cannot get enough of the world of food, and in her spare time enjoys a meal and nice glass of red at any of Perth’s numerous restaurants.

Cheryl Laird, Diabetes Educator

Cheryl Laird

Cheryl has had an extensive career in nursing and as a Diabetes Educator with the Healthy Lifestyle Program Cheryl works with clients on an individual basis providing education to newly diagnosed Type 2 diabetics, insulin initiation, helping clients who are struggling to manage their condition and running group seminars.
